Welcome to Saints Peter and Paul’s Website!
There will be NO PSR Classes this Sunday (March 1) due to illness at the Saints Peter and Paul School. If you have questions or concerns, please contact January Wadeen or Kris Stodgel. Thank you!
TAKEN FROM SCHOOL FB PAGE, posted by Alan Lammers, Principal: As many of you are aware, and have directly experienced, illness has hit the school particularly hard this week. A large and growing percentage of students are absent, making instruction very difficult to plan and difficult on students who have work to make up. Our teachers have been very dedicated about being present every day, but they are also fighting the illness and the pool of available substitutes is small.
After consulting with the school board, Saints Peter and Paul School will not be in session on Friday, February 27 and Monday, March 2. Any make-up days will be announced later. This is an effort to get everybody healthy and to make instruction is as effective as possible. I wanted to give you as much notice as possible so families can make necessary arrangements. However, I do apologize for the inconvenience.
A factor in this decision is also children coming to school that have shown symptoms of illness and children returning to school before they have fully recovered. While the school does send students home in these situations, the “cycle of sickness” continues. If your child was out of school today (Wednesday) or perhaps even earlier this week, I encourage you to strongly consider not sending him or her to school on Thursday. You may also wish to consider keeping your child home for a day or two when school does resume.
Hopefully we can get back to normal!
FAMILY SURVEY As you have heard in the past few weeks, Bishop Gaydos would like to offer the broadest possible access to the Family Survey in preparation for the Extraordinary Synod in October. He also wants to make this an opportunity to talk about pressing family issues in the parish communities. The primary vehicle for the consultation is a 10-question family survey that you can access by using the link shown below. It is posted on our parish website and school website and Facebook pages as well. You are welcome to distribute this survey to your families or gather in parish committees or groups to discuss the survey. We ask for all results by February 28. Please click here to view survey.
